Privacy policy

We keep as little about you as we need to run Brazy safely.

What we collect

To sign you in: your phone number.
Your profile: first name, birth date (to check you are 18 or older; we show only your age), gender, interests, prompts and 2 to 5 photos.
Verification: a live selfie is compared with your main photo. We keep only the result, never the selfie.
Location: to show plans near you, your phone sends a rough position (rounded to about 1 km). We don't store it and never show it to anyone.
Using Brazy: the plans you host, ask to join or go to, your notes to hosts, chat messages, private feedback after a plan, reports, blocks, your notification choices and your community rules tick.
Your phone: a push address so we can send notifications, and error reports with personal details removed.

Other members see your first name, age, photos, prompts and interests, and a badge if you're verified, only in plans they can see. Never your phone number, birth date or gender.
The exact place of a plan is shown only to the host and approved members.
Feedback and reports are seen only by our team. A reported person is never told who reported them.
We don't sell your data or show you ads.
Services that run Brazy for us process data on our behalf: Supabase (database and storage), Expo and Google Firebase (notifications), Sentry (error reports). We share data with authorities only when the law requires it.

Chat messages: deleted 30 days after a plan ends.
Details of a +1 friend: deleted when the ask or place closes, or 7 days after the plan.
Notifications: deleted 30 days after they were made.
Your account: until you delete it, in the app (Profile, Delete account) or on our deletion page. It disappears for everyone at once and can be recovered by logging in again within 30 days; after that it is deleted for good, with your photos, chats and plan history. Reports and our record of safety actions are kept, without your name, because the law expects them.

Change your name, photos, interests and prompts in Profile.
Choose your notifications in Profile, Notifications.
Ask us for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion, or withdraw your consent, by writing to privacy@brazy.in.
